We cannot all be Einsein
Just because we cannot all be a genius it does not mean that we cannot try and do the best we can.
When most people think about education we think start school, go to school for 12 or so years, work thru to the end to get a mark. Apply for a college or university course and depending on our School results we may or may not be accepted.
Lets be honest - 50% of everyone who goes to school will be above average and the other 50% will be below. University’s will only accept less than the top 0.1% for acceptance into Medicine, so to even have this as an option you need to be in the very top levels when you graduate from School.
Now everyone who has ever been to school, especially in the state or public school system will realise that the care factor by most teachers is not brilliant and in the end it is up to the Student to want to learn. The system will leave people behind - and does. This is where you have a couple of choices - If you can afford to, you could send your kids to a private school where the Teachers (for the most part) actually care how their students perform (this of course may not be an option for everyone) or you could look towards some extra individual tutoring.
Finding a Tutor in your own home town may not be possible, but that is no longer a barrier. Online Tutoring is a great alternative and much more convenient to most people.
The advantages of a tutor are pretty simple - as a tutor is after all simply a teacher who works 1-1 with a student to provide the specialised help in a particular subject such as Math. Using a Tutor will cost, but when compared to the costs of a private school it is still much, much cheaper. Regardless of your specific needs, an Online Tutor might be the difference between being in the below average group or even the top 0.1% who get the chance to choose Medicine as a career choice.
